TurboNuclease is an ultra-pure recombinant form of Serratia marcescens extracellularendonuclease (encoded by the same gene as Benzonase) produced in E. coli using a proprietaryprocess. This non-specific endonuclease hydrolyzes both single- and double-stranded nucleic acids(DNA and RNA) to 5?-phosphorylated oligonucleotides of 1-4 bases in length. TurboNuclease is ahighly purified homodimer of 27 kDa subunits that has exceptionally high specific activity and isfree of protease activity. TurboNuclease is ideal to digest nucleic acids and to reduce viscosityduring protein purification and sample preparation.
